Levisticum officinale A perennial relative of celery and angelica, with a flavor somewhere in their neighborhood. Long lived and pest free, we have clumps of plants that are over 20 years old. A backbone edible insectary plant, the flowering stalks are over 6' tall, with umbels that glisten with nectar. Seeds Per Ounce: 8,700 Seeds Per Packet: 200
Lovage As salad growers we made good use of this plant early in spring, when it puts up tender blanched shoots in an asparagus-like resurrection. One of these stalks, thinly sliced, gives a pound of early salad a wild and earthly taste and aroma.
