NEW FOR 2017! A completely new basil favor for me, compliments of James Young, our plant dye guy. 'Mrihani' has a Thai origin I'm told, where the fruity sweet flavor (is that bubblegum?) would fit mysteriously in the aroma of dishes. I'm also told that this variety shows resistance to downy mildew of basil, which would be significant to basil breeders dealing with this serious problem.
