Very tall and large-leafed relative of lambs quarter, good tasting and extremely productive for leaf, fiber, and protein-rich seed for bread or the birds. Another candidate species for the seasonal insectary/wildlife hedgerow. Self-sows like its cousin lambs quarter. Germination is stepwise, week by week for a month.
