An “insectary” is a place for rearing insects, be it outdoors in the field, or a commercial facility for providing packaged beneficial species. An “insectary species” is a plant that provides food, pollen, or shelter that enhances fecundity for insects, especially beneficial kinds. Many species that we sell will serve an insectary function when allowed to bloom.
