NEW FOR 2026! This year’s Secret Mix contains several distinct projects that are colorful and crisped along the margins with large spikey teeth, some nearly frisée in their dissections. These are crisphead and crispleaf types derived from ‘Reine d’ Glaces’ x ‘Jester,’ which has also created romaine types in solid dark reds, greens, and flashy two-tone versions. Other combinations include ‘Tom Thumb’ x ‘Red Ball Jets,’ ‘Little Gem’ x ‘Freedom Mix,’ ‘Red to the Heart’ x ‘Crisp Mint,’ and ‘Wavy Dory,’ x ‘Red Ball Jets.’ This is probably my best Secret Mix ever, and we have more seed than usual… therefore lower prices than ever.
