When we started our "farmer's Italian" red pepper
project, this is pretty much what we had in mind—a
brilliant red with smooth skin, medium thick walls,
strong shoulders, fruits averaging 8-9 inches long,
tapering to a slightly blunted tip. An early, sweet
frying and roasting pepper that keeps long after final
harvests in October—we are usually eating these for
breakfast with eggs until Christmas.
