This is a total winner for cool weather growing. Your seed was fantastic. I started mine off in January and then hardened them off in early February/ Then they went straight into raised beds in a seaside garden here on the east coast of Gabriola island, itself off the east coast of Vancouver island. Using just light window panes at night they were able to fend off the cold and grow. We were still eating this delicious green and sharing it with friends well into May. They did get spicier as they got more mature but they were hardly wasabi! In fact, the flavour is terrific and the palatability excellent. Good in sandwiches, salads or soups. What more could you ask for in the kale/mustard cross?
