i planted these seeds thickly in mid july next to a bed of "wild red" and a bed of "red russian" purchased from johnny's. wild garden mix was the most vigorous and productive bed by far. it outcompeted the weeds and was thinned for beautiful baby salad kale three weeks after planting. the red russian didn't germinate well and was so torpid that it succumbed to weed pressure and had to be abandoned. impressive seeds!
