Delphinium spp. Perennials suited for zones 2-7, mostly hybrids of native species bred for cutting and garden beds. The two primary forms are the doubled and densely flowered Elatum hybrids, and the more sparsely flowered single or semi-double Belladonna hybrids. Seed should be moist chilled for 2-4 weeks, then germinated at 65-70°. Grow seedling at 50-55° until large enough to transplant at 12x18" spacing (for perennial plantings) or as close as 9x9" (if treating as an annual).
Prism Sea Blue This is the truest blue we've seen in the garden, that perfect sector of the spectrum through a prism that contains nothing but blue, no turquoise, no indigo, just unmitigated blue. Strong straight stems over 4' blooming well into autumn. A favorite delphinium. pricing and more
