Flowers: Hollyhock
Alcea rosea
Sometimes referred to as perennials, and sometimes as biennials "that live 3-4 years." We found that all of these flowered in the first summer with an indoor start in March and an April or May transplant. These get 5-8' or taller with a spread of 18." Planting in June-July is recommended for treating the plant as a true biennial (makes the biggest blooms.)
