Belamcanda chinensis, Iris domestica
Perennial member of the Iris family (despite the misnomer) reliably grown from seed, blooming in the second year. Stiff stems to 4' tall hold candy-orange 6-petaled flowers with magenta spots. These are followed by handsome seedpods that split open to reveal the "blackberry" of ripe seeds.
